Henry’s Knit Bunny

As part of my New Years Resolutions I’ve been focussing on organizing. This means purging the stuff I have too much of and don’t use, and also finishing up some of the projects I’ve started but have put off for a while.

These little bunnies were part of my incomplete knitting stash.

Kissing knit bunnies

At first I simply wanted to find a pattern to knit a cute stuffed animal, but once I found this pattern for Henry’s Knit Bunny, I knew it would be destined for my little one’s playmate with the same name. Usually I get my knitting patterns from Ravelry.com (if you want knitting or crocheting patterns and haven’t tried this site yet, you really should), but this one came from Craftsy. Perfect timing, once I finished it, too, as it was done just in time for his birthday.

The silly reason I ended up with two incomplete bunnies to finish is because I got to the point of working the legs with the first knit critter where I needed the stuffing to continue, but was too lazy to go get it out of the craft room so I just kept on with knitting a second bunny body. The first one was so quick and easy, it just seemed like a good idea. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll do with it yet, but I have a few ideas.

What have you knit lately? Do you have some incomplete projects to get back to? I’m always looking for new knitting projects that are fairly easy to follow, but still look awesome. The internet is so useful (beyond cat videos)! Let’s connect on YouTube or the ever-intriguing Periscope, too!
