I seem to have a problem with silence. It makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. Whenever I’m home, I like to have something going on in the background. A hum of noise makes me feel more alive, somehow. Sometimes I’ll just turn on a random Netflix show while I clean or fold or type, just to give my eardrums something to do. I always find it more enjoyable to have some tunes playing, but opening up iTunes or looking at my CD collection just seems like too much work most times. Yes, I am that lazy.
Something I found this summer to give me instant, easy access to music that I doesn’t require too much choosing or playlist making is a handy-dandy little app called TuneIn Radio. If you don’t have it, and you suffer music selecting laziness as I do, you’re going to want to go download this free app.
There are a million bajillion different options for genres and stations to stream free and unlimited music from. I’ve saved various stations ranging from Bollywood, to country, to Disney tunes. There are soooo any options. I love it.
Although there are a ton of different types of music to listen to, I’ve found that one that always has something I really enjoy listening to. I am a big fan of oldies music. When I say “oldies”, I specifically mean 60’s (and some 70’s) tunes. This is only one of many, many reasons my husband believes I may actually be an old lady (his favourite being the pictures from my childhood where I was often wearing bonnets and matching quaker dresses – bonnets are cute, okay?). He jokes I was born in the 1800s often.
Anyhow, my favourite station over the past 6 months since finding this app has been Oldies 104. If you’re a fan of the classic oldies music, I suggest you check it out. Recently, however, I have been feeling the holiday spirit and wanting to listen to some festive classics. A station I found called Radio Tunes Classic Christmas has been perfectly meeting this need for me, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an easy and free way of setting your home-life to a soundtrack of Christmas classics.
Now if only the rest of my holiday to-do list was this easy…
*This is not a sponsored post. I just really like this app and wanted to share it with you!*

Ive been looking for a new internet radio…I was stoked. But my phone isn’t new enough apparently! And its not wanting to work on my computer! Dang!
Aw man. Update your phone’s software? I’ve been having issues uploading the new software for my phone since apparently my iCloud is full and I have no idea how to make it un-full. Even though I deleted my backup (uh oh) and haven’t had success resaving a new backup.
My phone doesn’t have enough memory to install the new software! Its an old 8gig iphone 4. Even if I deleted everything it wouldn’t. I got it working on my computer though and I’d rather listen there anyhow 🙂
Yay! Perfect! Enjoy!!
