Free Idea for an Inventor!

Have you always wanted to make something that other people would love to buy? A new product or service that solves a common problem and has a ready client base?

My brain overworks itself quite often. I can’t seem to shut it down, most of the time. Ideas coming through all over the place. Unfortunately I lack the follow-through or interest to bring a lot of my ideas to fruition. So perhaps I can share them so that someone with the know-how and time to take ideas from spark to full-fledged flame can take them off my mental plate.

Let’s start with this.

If you are a parent or caregiver, I’m sure you know all too well the struggle to keep calm as your baby or toddler “hilariously” tosses his or her food onto the floor to wave at before any pets that lie in wait slurp up the carefully prepared and short-lived nourishment. Why do high chair trays not go around the entire seat????? Much like an exersaucer, I think this would solve the problem of so much wasted food, fat four-legged friends, and constantly sticky floors. Or at least help with that problem – I don’t think our floor is capable of becoming unsticky ever again.

Seriously, though. How hard would it be to make the tray into a donut shape, then design a way of folding up the high chair to be slid into a closet or behind the table, the same way that regular high chairs (the ones we’ve used, anyhow) do? It can’t be rocket science.

It’s unfortunate that my memory doesn’t work so fantastically (especially since having my little one… it’s true what they say about babies stealing your brain). I’ve got a ton more of these ideas, but none come to mind at the moment. I’ll try to plug them on here when I can, before I lose them again.

What daily problems do you face? What do you wish was available to buy to solve these frustrations?

Great idea! My idea is a little far out there but bear with me! I used to fantasize about having a contraption that would go around my bed much like the sides of a crib. This would allow me to sleep/nap while my baby and toddler could play around me safely. I was soooo tired!!

      Hahaha I hear you, Sara!

To be perfectly honest, I wanted this so bad I just hopped into the crib with her one day. I’ve been putting her to sleep like this every time since, and have no regrets! Thankfully I’m a small person!
