Photography Favourites: June 2016

Another month has come and gone, and all that’s left of it are the marks that were made on our memories and the photos that serve to document the moments. If you are new to my whole monthly amateur photography favourites posts, you can go back and take a look at the previous two posts here: April Photography Favourites and May Photography Favourites.

June Through My Lens - Amateur Photography

It’s been a full month for us, with finalizing kitchen renovation plans, getting ready for my summer girls to join us for a season of adventure and fun, and setting everything up for my return to working as a preschool teacher this coming fall. I’m also still working on KonMari-style purging and organizing, and trying to figure out how we can fit in everything we want to do this summer in the finite number of weeks that’s left.

Having just come back from our cabin in the wilderness last night, and with a full day and week ahead, I’ll make this quick. Let’s start right now.

Ah, the playground days. Even while I was stuck using only my iPhone 5 for a week or so while my camera card was needing replaced, I found myself taking some neat shots, like this one from a high perspective.

Ebony and Ivory. The neighbour cat came over, and Z was delighted to invite him into her pool and down the slide. Kitty elected to stay and snuggle on the lawn.

Chasing mama with some long, tickly grass. This has become one of my favourite amateur photography shots of all time. Childhood, pure and simple.

Check out this description on Instagram to read the story of how my little love came to have her nails painted for the first time by her mama who never wears polish.

And last but not least, a shot from the last day of June, when we were reunited with our summer girls for a beautiful beach day at Beddis. Isn’t that tiger swim suit the bomb? So fierce!
