Fun places for a toddler

While we were planning one of our recent trips off island to Victoria, we had wanted to take our little bean somewhere that would be fun for her. We were going to do some shopping, check out a fishing show, and other “adult” type stuff, so we figured we should probably give little Z a little excitement of stopping somewhere fun for her.

So where are fun places for a toddler?

A petting zoo? A playground? An indoor playground?

Then I remembered she has the most fun with rocks and recycling, watching people, looking at new things. To a toddler, pretty much any place can be the most exciting field trip. Everything is new and exciting. Sitting in a boat and wandering through a fishing show is probably just as entertaining for her as that play place.

The point of this whole spiel is that you don’t have to make special trips and spend tons of money on your little ones to have a great time together. So long as you are there with them, showing them their world and helping them to see and learn what exists within it, even a trip to the rug store can be an adventure.

And if you’re still interested in finding some places you can take your toddler that are special treat of an exciting adventure for them, here are several great ideas (some costly, some cheap, some free) for Where To Go with a Toddler.
